Windows 7 eliminates Quick Launch and folds its capabilities into the Taskbar. Drag an app's icon from the Start menu or desktop to the Taskbar, and Windows will pin it there, so you can launch the program without rummaging around in the Start menu. You can also organize icons in the Taskbar by moving them to new positions.

cheap homes for sale

Re: Windows 7 quick review

I cogitate Microsoft know done a real unspoilt happening here, generating much an interest and making it obtainable to as umteen grouping as require to try it. From the looks of things it's a safe outlet both in looks and in functionality, and they should get a lot of outstanding packaging that should lay the disastrous twelvemonth of Vista to breathe. While some people complained about Windows Vista, Microsoft
has made many great improvements with the release of Windows 7. In fact,
many XP users are finally comfortable enough to move on and embrace the
elegance and user friendly operating system of Windows 7.

computers

Re: Windows 7 quick review

wow. the windows 7 OS is very beauful!

Re: Windows 7 quick review

Hi there, I've just stumbled upon your blog via searching google for 'second life windows 7' as I am unable to get my SL running on W7 without it crashing my computer entirely (screens black and no keyboard input recognised, closes all other programs but my computer tower lights still on) so that I have to restart everything. I'm only a newbie, desperately wanting to play, but wondering if maybe you have any advice?

Re: Windows 7 quick review

Haha, the free beer comment is a Linux joke.
Linux is praised for being free as in free speech, as opposed to free beer. I do appreciate things being free as in free beer too, though! :)

Re: Windows 7 quick review

thank you for this. it's very informative and useful. and oooooh, it looks so pretty. i might just have to have a go at it myself. a free beer would be nice as well!

Re: Windows 7 quick review

Just doing a quick comment to see whether the little icons pick up Windows 7 and IE8.

Update: Firestats got the IE8 right but thought i was on Windows NT! I see! :)

Re: Windows 7 quick review

Hi Springo, yeah i do believe it is a pretty good operating system. I'm amazed how stable and complete it seems to be, for a beta. If only it were free forever, i might just use it, ha!

Hey Noodle! Wonderful to hear from you again! I've heard conflicting reports: one that the requirements are just the same as Vista; and another that it has been optimized to work on low-spec netbooks. I know that they require 1GB of memory and 1GHz processor. For the Aero interface they recommend a graphics card which supports DirectX 9 and has 128MB memory.

Re: Windows 7 quick review

Hi Aimee. Thanks for the extensive info and screenshots .

Just wondering about the hardware requirements. Roughly the same as for Vista? No use trying on a 4/5-year old P4 - 2.8 GHz?

Re: Windows 7 quick review

It looks really good i think.
